Anyone can write a 3000-word article but if you have ever written one that people actually rain till the end then you know that writing such a long yet impactful article is not a piece of cake
Here’s a rough framework I picked from my short encounter with Pat from StarterStory
- First of all free of the time for it you want to be able to write an impactful 3000 word article in six hours,
Also, if you free-up seven days for it then start working on day one, not day seven. Yes I know procrastination is a bitch but isn’t helpful one! - Next, follow Lincolns advice – spend the first 6 days sharpening the axe – this case drawing tested outline that covers all the points that will make the story impactful. (in our case Pat had already made and shared that skeleton with us)
- Finally, once you have a tested skeleton that stands upright instead of upside down – start adding meat. The biggest mistake that most people make is they spend most of the time in this step. They try to add meat without having a solid, working and tested skeleton! The result – nobody that they create will have the same weight but they will know that something is off. And since the skeleton is now hidden inside layers of meat they won’t be able to tell exactly what is wrong.
- The last step is to proofread, remove grammatical errors, add pictures, user test to see if it creates the same impact that you intended!
